If you've never experienced kayaking before or even if you've paddled in the past with some friends and you would like to learn the correct way to paddle, then this is the excursion for you.

Our Introduction to Kayaking class will dramatically enhance your enjoyment of the sport and not only will you learn how to efficiently maneuver your boat, but you'll be able to recover from a capsize. Don't forget -- waves on lakes can get pretty big, too.

Particular emphasis will also be placed on safety issues such as trip selection and practicing both self- and assisted rescues and re-entries.

This class is also an excellent preparation for one of our other tours.



During the Class:
Our trained guides will provide you with all the necessary "tools of the trade." You will learn basic paddling skills, everything from how to hold the paddle to the different strokes you can use. We'll then get you set up in one of our our comfortable and stable, sit-on-top kayaks and then venture out into the calm gentle, warm waters of Lake Wyman.

Your guides will accompany you to answer any questions as well as offer you pointers on your paddling skills. This tour is a great option for a family wanting to spend time together or for those looking to build their confidence on the water.

As you paddle along be on the lookout for the wide variety of marine life that will be just below you in the clear tropical waters. So come join the fun! and learn to kayak from the skilled instructors at Visit Palm Beach. (Sign up early - space is limited). Private sessions can be scheduled for groups of four or more.

ABOUT THE TOUR:
No experience is necessary.
Dress to get wet. Water Shoes are good to have as well.
You can paddle in a single or in a double kayak with a friend or family member.
We provide everything you need - kayaks, all the equipment and our VPB instructors.
The number of available spots on this trip is limited. They fill up fast.... so don't wait to sign up!.
