it’s earliest days, Palm Beach has been known for its gardens. As
early as 1891, visitors to Palm Beach found a summer dream or as it
was popularly known as “The Garden of Eden”. In the 1920’s, almost all
of the ocean and lakefront homes had magnificent gardens. During this
period Palm Beach Residents cultivated formal garden settings within
cloistered walls with fountains, pools and geometrically arranged
planting beds. Few of these elaborate gardens of this era exist today
and rarely have new ones been planted to equal the splendor of the
1920’s.
Now your guests will be able to enjoy the tranquil gardens that exist
to preserve the botanical heritage of our state. Throughout Florida so
much of our natural landscape and accompanying native plants and
animals have disappeared. This is a way for your guests to enjoy “Old
Florida”.
Guests are taken through the gardens with our trained horticulturists,
our guide will be by their side to point out the different types of
plants and flora as well as to explain the importance of preserving
our native plants for our eco system to exist.
