COASTAL
NATURE BICYCLE TOUR TOUR
The
Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District was created in 1974 to
provide outstanding public beaches and parks for residents and
visitors to Boca Raton.
As a result, this park system, which encompasses approximately 1,080
acres, has some of the most pristine land in the South. These parks
are overflowing with mangrove forests, hardwood hammocks, trails and
wildlife, all waiting for you to explore.
The tour begins in a mangrove forest at our private Mangrove Creek
Outpost. Here you’ll be fitted with one of our comfortable,
smooth-riding, hybrid bicycles. Visit Palm Beach guides will also
outfit you with a safety helmet, give instructions…. and your journey
begins.

We’ll pedal through local neighborhoods, which will give you a taste
of South Florida lifestyle. Then, we cross over the beautiful
Intracoastal Waterway and enter the second park in this District. As
we explore the twisting, wood-chipped trails, you will catch glimpses
of some of the wildlife that calls this park home. We’ll also stop
briefly along the calm waters of what once was called the Spanish
River.
From this park, it’s back out to A1A, as we pedal to our next park.
It’s amazing how natural this area has remained and how one park just
blends into another. Our naturalist will identify the different
plants, trees and wildlife along the way. This tour will also take us
along the Atlantic Ocean and into a few more of Boca Raton’s beautiful
parks before returning to the Mangrove Creek Outpost.
