Our Story

 

The Beginning...

In the summer of 1996 Palm Beach Tours, Inc., was created, we started out providing Historical Bicycle Tours on the tropical island paradise of Palm Beach. These tours were for the most part sold to corporate guests of hotels during their annual conventions. It was our first attempt at sharing the incredible natural beauty and fascinating history and architecture that has made the Palm Beaches so famous.

Corporate Travel...

As time went on, the types of services we offered expanded to meet the needs of corporate groups, meeting planners and hotels that host these conventions. To meet our goal of providing services in a professional manner that were both educational and entertaining, partnerships were, and continue to be, developed with host locations that make up some of the most incredible venues in South Florida. These partnerships have allowed us access to locations that few would otherwise get to visit and experience first hand. This has enabled us to become the premier provider of off-property excursions and events in Palm Beach County.

Attending to every detail of the excursions allows us to provide guests with a flawless, memorable event from start to finish. Through the years we have continued to develop new programs for corporate travelers to the Palm Beaches. All of these are available as "all-inclusive" options for our clients. One call will be all that's needed to plan any excursion or event.

The Internet...

The creation of visitpalmbeach.com was the next piece of the puzzle to be introduced, a way to take the concept of a "one-stop" visitor center and put it into cyber-space. Launched in May of 2003, the site continues to develop and transform into an all-inclusive destination travel web site exclusively for the Palm Beaches, a site that is dedicated to helping both visitors and locals alike enjoy the very best of what Palm Beach County has to offer. With new enhancements continually being added as well as new and additional tour offerings from numerous preferred vendors, visitpalmbeach.com has become the premier place to visit on the web when looking for fun things to do in the Palm Beaches. From the convenience of home or office, travel professionals and the public can log on to learn about and book any one of countless fun excursions available in our region.

December 2008 was the re launching of the fourth version of visitpalmbeach.com (its been a long, long time coming) redesigned because of the ever changing world we live in, this version will strive to put a wealth of options, opportunity and information at the visitors fingertips, bold photos and interactive options will bring the action to the screen in a way we could not have done in the past.

The Name Change...

In 2005 we said goodbye to the name Palm Beach Tours and introduced our ourselves to everyone as Visit Palm Beach. The name just didn't fit anymore with the success of our website and the continuous addition of in house services as well as preferred vendor services we just thought it would fit better. (not to mention everyone was referring to us as visitpalmbeach.com anyway)

Often rumored to be run by the County of Palm Beach, we are not, we're just a privately owned company owned by a few hard working guy's & girl's who truly love the place we live in and who simply figured out a way to share what we love to do with others.
